Born in Alabama but raised in Louisiana means that no matter the style, a flare of southern charm is a part of every design. I spent my early years being influenced by the vibrant culture of New Orleans with its French-inspired traditional design and stunning ironwork. From antique furniture and chandeliers dripping with crystals, to elaborate crown molding and gilded plasterwork, the quintessential New Orleans style awakened my passion for decor and design.

I moved back to my hometown of Mobile, Alabama after graduating high school and accepted a position with a local design firm that specialized in designing and manufacturing high end duvet covers, shams and bedskirts, along with a range of decorative pillows made from luxurious fabrics.

After meeting my husband in 2002, I focused on raising my family. We settled down on 22 acres of land in a small farming community in central Alabama. I've worked as a freelance writer for the past several years and penned a weekly religion column for the local newspaper. Although I continue my column and writings, I have also rekindled my love for design which I express through the upcycling of old furniture. And just like life, I've learned to embrace the imperfection in each piece, knowing it only adds to its charm.
